Last night my date veered away from the usual safe date of sushi and drinks and took me to a burlesque lounge. No it wasn’t just an excuse for him to get his peep on, it was a great show and a very tasteful crowd at Nurse Bettie.

Nurse Bettie, named after Bettie Page, has a 50s pin up theme and is located in the Lower East Side. They offer free burlesque shows every Wednesday & Thursday night and great happy hour specials Tues- Sat.

If you’re in New York be sure to stop in for a shake and a giggle.
